The vision of the new Sri Lankan Professional Boxing was introduced by one of the most experienced officials, Mr. Dian Gomes to the public. The International Boxing Association fully supports the new project in Sri Lanka to make that happen in the upcoming short period of time. Mr. Dian Gomes was the President of Sri Lanka Boxing and during his leadership the country’s boxing earned several historic results including their fantastic three bronze medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Mr. Dian Gomes has an important role in the boxing world, he is an active IBA Board of Director with plenty of future ideas. The first Sri Lankan Pro Boxing event would be held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel or the Shangri La this November.
