3. Eligibility and Registration

3.1 Eligibility

To register as a member, athlete, coach, or official with BASL, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
• Comply with all BASL rules, regulations, and the constitution.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Conduct

When using our website and services, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or BASL rules.
• Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory content.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website or servers.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems.

6. Event Participation and Registrations

6.1 Registration

By registering for any BASL event, tournament, or training camp, you agree to abide by all event rules, regulations, and schedules. All registrations are subject to approval by BASL officials.

6.2 Payment and Fees

All fees for memberships, events, and services are as stated on the website. Payments must be made in full at the time of registration. Fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in our refund policy.

6.3 Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds will be processed according to the following policy:

• 90% refund if cancelled 30+ days before the event.
• 50% refund if cancelled 15-29 days before the event.
• No refund if cancelled less than 15 days before the event.
• Full refund if the event is cancelled by BASL.

8.1 Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge that participating in boxing and related activities carries inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury or death. By participating in any BASL event or activity, you voluntarily assume all such risks.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Boxing Association of Sri Lanka, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the website.
• Participation in any BASL event or activity.
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or personal information.
• Any errors or omissions in the content on our website.

8.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BASL and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your participation in any BASL activity.

10. Anti-Doping Compliance

All athletes, coaches, and support personnel affiliated with BASL are required to comply with the World Anti-Doping Code and the rules of the International Boxing Association (IBA). You agree to submit to any anti-doping testing conducted by authorized personnel. Violation of anti-doping rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent ban.

All members, athletes, coaches, and officials of BASL are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, sportsmanship, and conduct. This includes:

• Respecting all participants, officials, and spectators.
• Complying with all BASL rules and regulations.
• Refraining from any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse.
• Promoting the values of fair play and respect.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our website and services immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Breach of these Terms and Conditions.
• Violation of BASL rules or the constitution.
• Engaging in conduct that is harmful to BASL or the sport of boxing.
• Providing false or misleading information.

BASL shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, strikes, or governmental actions.
